When Audrey Hepurn was sent to the Parisian designer Hubert de Givenchy, he was sent a message saying 'Miss Hepburn is comming to pick out several dresses for her noew movie, Sabrina'. Givenchy was unfamiliar with the new gamine actress Audrey Hepburn and anticipated the arrival of the famous Katherine. However, tall and slender gamine Audrey showed up on his door-step. He told her that sorry, he was busy designing for the next Givenchy collection but she insisted. Their comprimise was for her to simply select dresses from his last collection. Her choices were the charcoal dress-suit with white turban/hat, black bateaux neckline cocktail dress and the most beautiful of the three, a white organza dress beaded with ivory and onyx beads and black sik thread, complete with detatchable train. The scene she wore this dress is proof of her charm, grace and exquisite beauty.
I am very pleased with how the dress turned out; I have been told by many girls that this is the dress they want to wear to prom. Her face is relatively Audrey resembling. Unfortunatly, I sold it for $35...

You've really captured her elegance in this piece as well as all the others I've seen, it's really amazing! I love the dress on this one, the detailing is so intricate and flawless, and the minimal background really makes it stand out. It's absolutely beautiful! Gorgeous work, great job!!
